Laser Tattoo Removal

Dr. Talbot uses a "Q-switched" laser to remove tattoos. When precisely set at a specific wavelength, the laser breaks up the pigment in the tattoo after which macrophages, your body's natural scavengers, slowly work to remove the pigment. The greatest success is on older, dark-colored tattoos; multi-colored tattoos can also be removed successfully. Anesthesia is not required.

Laser tattoo removal cannot be completed in one visit and most patients return for five or six treatments to achieve the level of pigmentation removal they desire. These treatments are typically scheduled every six to eight weeks.
