More Patient TestimonialsYour reasons for considering breast augmentation are very personal, but you’re not alone. More and more women of all ages are enhancing the size and shape of their breasts – to look younger, more attractive, more feminine, to correct a previous surgery, or counteract the affects of motherhood. In the Hattiesburg region, women come to Dr. Paul Talbot at the Center for Plastic Surgery.
Breast augmentation through implants creates an immediate and dramatic change in your physical appearance, so it is important that you openly and honestly discuss your wishes and expectations with Dr. Talbot. He’s as good a listener as he is a surgeon and he will make recommendations and present options to achieve the results you desire. You may be surprised at how many options there are including implant size, shape, location of the implants, and type of implant material. A breast lift may also be done in conjunction with your implant surgery. All you need to know, however, is how you want to look.
While cosmetic in nature, breast augmentation remains a serious surgical procedure. General anesthesia will be administered during the one to two hours it typically takes to complete the surgery. You will wear a surgical bra during recovery, and although you should be able to return to work or regular activities within a few days, you must avoid strenuous activities such as lifting or pulling for four to six weeks. Dr. Talbot will also provide information on the common risks of surgery including bleeding, infection, changes in sensation, and implant failure. Should that occur, be assured your implants are guaranteed and will be replaced by the manufacturer.
